ICA - Education Department Internship Opportunity [ 2 January 2009 ]
The ICA Education Department is currently looking to recruit a hard working and motivated intern for a four-month period for 3 days per week, subject to a two-week probationary period. Working closely with the Director of Learning, this role is a great opportunity to become involved in the ICA's ambitious education programme, working with schools, colleges, communities and families in a 'hands on' capacity. RELEASE1.0 [ 20 October 2008 ]
RELEASE1.0 is an international design competition
launched in partnership with ICA, London; Triennale Museum, Milan; Deutsche
Guggenheim, Berlin; and London Design Festival. The competition is calling for
designs for innovative new museum- and gallery- shop products and in return
offers the winners financial remuneration and, more importantly, access into
some of the most influential culture institutions worldwide.An international jury from the worlds of design, art and culture will sort
through all the entries to pick the final three winning designs (in three
different price categories), which will be sold in the shops of the
competition’s international museum and gallery partners.
The designers
will be paid a revenue share of the product sales (7% of the wholesale price)
and they will retain the full IP rights of their innovation. More importantly,
the competition offers entrants exposure in some of the most prolific cultural
institutions in the world and in front of some of the most powerful people in
