WHO: Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival are welcoming moving image submissions of all types - narrative and experimental, live action and animation, fiction and documentary, and from all over the world – within the theme of Pictures in Motion.

WHAT:

Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival is set to return from Wed 19 – Sun 23 September 2012.

Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival has a seven-year history, screening over 400 individual works from 35 countries, including 40 UK and European premieres and 12 new commissions. Each event has attracted up to 10,000 visitors from across the UK to engage with screenings, events and installations in up to 20 unique locations across Berwick-upon-Tweed – illuminating the whole town.

Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival 2012: Pictures In Motion

Each year, the Festival is curated thematically, and this year the festival  focuses on the relationship between the still and the moving image. Entitled Pictures in Motion, the programme will feature work that has been created by artists who have moved from photography into filmmaking, or that has been inspired by photography, whether through use of still image sequences or freeze frames, portraits or landscapes.

CHARGES: £10 / €12 per short film submission and £15 / €18 for features.
