WHO: artists worldwide.
WHAT: the 8th international Kaunas Biennial TEXTILE 11: REWIND-PLAY-FORWARD is a competition-based exhibition inviting artists from all over the world working in different textile media to present works related to their personal story. In the exhibition, textile is seen from a new point of view: as a connotation, a hint and a conceptual mediator of experience. All works should reveal and retell an individual story related to family and the social and socio-cultural context.
WHEN: 22 Sept-31 Dec, 2011.
PAYMENTS: successful applicants will be receive accommodation during the opening of the exhibition (up to 3 nights) and/or during educational programmes (as required).
