Auto-Italia South East

An artists' project space which aims to explore the practices of a growing peer group of artists working in collaboration. It examines how young artists create opportunities and contexts in which to produce work. The nature of the shows and projects produced demonstrate that artists do not work alone, and that outcomes should not be fixed, but continually critiqued and adapted. Our aim is to create a sustainable network and new methods and contexts in which to work. Auto-Italia hosts exhibitions, shoots, screenings talks and temporary studio projects. They are currently located in a large ex-car garage on Old Kent Road, London.
