‘and the truth will give you fleas’

Portsmouth June 26th

A collection of notes from the last few days with errors created by speech recognition software selectively left in:

I can taste

Something

this way comes

Trembling

enharmonically

Restlessly

awakened

Enveloping

all in unforgiving

Stillness

Sound

bound

tied in many knots

rest of day imposed rest – in my head this is beyond a joke – my body slaps me in the face with reality

for sanity – I need to work

insanity – I live to work artist 247

bad dreams hit at 3am

Am exceptionally tired – snatch rest all day – this also winds me up – ideas form unavoidably – artist 247 – ‘the pencil is willing but the hand fails me’

24 June 2013

Spend morning in the dark theatre bar editing images into performance PowerPoint and run through with the sound – may develop into a major new project. Its ironic that I am trying to find time to make more analogue music but receiving opportunity to develop digital sound-work in an oppositely direct proportion to my efforts to escape

25 June 2013

Perform in Portsmouth today using learning from Konfirm with aprofessional musician after mentoring them from ‘analogue to digital’ sound making. Goes well other than a few glitches like the laptop trying to do a virus check spot on the time the performance starts (not mine as would have turned it off)

The work is well received and have interesting conversations afterwards with audience members – glad I didn’t loose it as result of aspergers sound sensitivity and public becoming overwhelming.

Glad the 2 celebratory beers afterwards wipe me out before I arrive home.

Today while uploading more work I discover my Sound work on SoundCloud is most popular in Greece this week.

Mysterious.

‘my own imposition’

Portsmouth June 20th

I admit

I have done to much

an aspie trait

so now 2 days

Confined bed-rest

where i play with ‘enigma machine’

in between snoozing through the pain

and watch WW2 ‘escape’ films for inspiration and solutions

‘Oh for I have seen the light – and it is but a simple dream’

Portsmouth – Brighton – portsmouth

June 17th

Evening Poem on my returning

Music
makes
me cry
Sweeter
Tears
Than
Those
Conjured
With
Harsh
Words from
Bitter
Tongues

Morning Poem on my leaving

Steel sky
Reflects
The green
Reed
Margin
Edged
With earthen
Hollow base

Synchronus
Crows
Passover
Minor meres
Quiet ripple
Bound but only
momentarily

“n+1”

Portsmouth – London – Portsmouth June 14th

Breathe in……………

Friday passed like any other day

Kontemplation – an early start at 6am

Unknown expectation – Taxi journeys at 9am

Welcome to…..

Unloading and apprehension – setting up

Konstruction and wiring up for testing

Komplete so a short walk round the Barbican

Welcoming and waiting – arrival

Synthesizer playing at random – rule random – how are you wired up?

Hushed introduction – the seconds tick to Premiers of Grey part 1 and 2

Break – then dual Talks

Questions for us both arisen

thankyous – goodbyes – conversation

take downs – unwired undone

Packing not as presise as to bring

a wait then Taxi journeys at 10:15pm

Full Piccadilly Circus – empty Hindhead tunnel

Arrival home 12:30am

Unpacking with a drink in my hand and words on my lips forming a smile

Soon to settle soon to sleep

As far as I can see it went well – congratulations fill my timeline

Then today was a good day

A short list from 14th June

4 bananas plus 3 beers after

Peperoni pizza beautiful cold

Roland cube recognised whilst hidden

Wood forgotten but substituted

Run for money

Long waited introduction

Set of Tarzan cards dated 1966

breathe out………….
