this piece is all about the capitalist economy and how it drives on money and growth. It is the start of a series about the west and its ignorance to the isis threat
im working on a project based around self image and the fashion industr at the moment but im also looking at old saying such as “you would look good in a black bin bag” and “you look like a sack of potatoes” im taking these materials and making everyday fashion items to show the shallow nature of our society today in the west,
i will be the main model for this projct but it will be a collaboration between myself and a friend doing the photography. Im really excited to be shooting this in March :)
Finally i have my own space, it may just be one old wallpaper pasting table but its my table donated to me so i dont have to use my grandparents dining table. The table was a dull grey but i have transformed it into a political artists playground using spray paint and stencils, below are some close ups of the table.
today i went wild, having no concept to draw from i let the materials fly and become these, this was more about process than the final pieces.
