It really is like a monastic life at the moment, replacing the prayer with work, get up, work, short walk, more work, eat, work, short walk, eat, work, sleep, going nowhere, hardly talking to anyone apart from people I pass in the street and in the local shop…….then the same again, so using the opportunity to show some of the images of different aspects of Shetland, this fabulous building is the history group home in Burra.

Shetland ponies, made me think about something da lassies, the herring gutters from Whalsay told me about when they were working in Lowestoft and the cooper called them ‘his Shetland ponies’ !
Working constantly at getting the proposals together, it really is head down. It does not feel appropriate to put any images on at this stage as I shall be presenting them to the two panels at the weekend. I can’t believe it is day 61, when I started this blog, 70 days, 10 weeks, seemed such a long time and I thought that I would struggle to keep it going.

Second pink object, in two days…….there is not a lot of pink in Shetland, although thinking about it, there are many pinks in the sky and on the water when the sun is setting, on a calm day, so maybe it is not so strange.
This little octopus was from the workshop in Brae school, just can’t help but smile.

Water…I have become mesmerised by the water, maybe since being here in the Booth, surrounded by it, the view is compelling and distracting, but it is not just here, as there is water and sea all around and it is constantly changing colour. Today on a calm day it is amazing, reflecting the sky and everything around it.
