The Mayfiello Collective team leader Marcuso Florello in the bath somewhere in Pointeso suburb Zone 31 E.

‘I write here on my new Lexor Pad edition 45. The bubbles from the glorious bath are popping in my ears. My head is a dull ache after the preview last night for In Situate. I dig the ethos of that group – it’s got something of a post – post relational feeling going on there.

The opening to the show took place on top of the old Maytrex Centre in the Hincleton district of Pointeso. I’m drawn to the fact that the majority of the audience were in their early twenties…I felt like the twenty six year old grandaddy.

In Situate have been together for two years and already have a CV that suggests a good work ethic in spite of their devotion to the all nighters.

I caught up with the curator Alicia Template for a while about a future collaboration and will keep you all updated.

The work that caught my eye on the roof top space was titled ‘Glace Rover’ by the artist Johanna Ludace. She’d created what looked like a pile of talking micro chips disguised as a mound of dirt. I could make out words that were often muffled gloryfying multi national companies and delivered in an enigmatic style.

The rest of the show was a bit of a hazy daze to be honest brothers and sisters.

This bath is starting to get cold. Perhaps I could make myself a neat little video of these bubbles popping in my ears?’

The Maytrex Centre is an artist led initiative sponsored by The Mary Kellerton trust.

An agent on mobile walking through Athletico international airport.

‘Eh…what? Yah, yah…I’ll be at The Vascov around 10.30ish…yah..erm well Marcia said she’ll keep tabs on that one…yap…ten installations have sold but we need to start the marketing campaign for Aimii Slite…yap…well say something along the lines of liminal spaces, the domestic, duality, tacit and all that shite – she’s a photographer…her father…yap…he’s chief exec at Zennels Corps…ha ha…she’s lovely – just finished at Novia Art College but is moving to Pointeso…it’s a no brainer…look, I’ll be on the 8.30 plane so will meet you at Kane’s bar at Pointeso airport…no shit? Ok…include networking and mentoring and don’t forget to mention ‘The rural’ that always looks good on the evaluation…’

The voice fades as the figure moves through the crowd towards gate 195.

Maitvale Workspace director Polly Sylvester: ‘We position ourselves in an ‘exclusive inclusive’ bracket so to speak. Whilst recognising that the Pointeso Art Scene is highly competitive, we offer our artists a bespoke package fusing cognitive science with cutting edge resources and strict emphasis on long game career development.’

16.45 hrs.

An artist in a room somewhere in the northern borough of the working class heavy industrial region of Universo Collunteen.

‘I’m lying on my bed and regarding the mirror on the window sill. The red berries glow on the Rowan Trees across the road. Doves flap about in the breeze. The sky is milky grey.

My annual rejection letter from the hip Naze Vale Gallery in central Pointeso lies torn on the carpet. I think the odds are something like 150-1 of getting in. perhaps I’ll try again next year.

I’m wondering if my Universo Collunteen postcode had a negative impact on my application? Probably not.

I can hear the downtown Universo factories striking up now. I’m on the late shift and will be in automation in two hours from now.

I’ve got to somehow try to summon up the energy and make my way towards the door. I’ll grab myself a sausage roll and a bottle of lucozade from the shops before I leave. I feel mildly aggressive now if the truth be told. I can see the universe in my carpet.

‘My eyes are heavy…or should that be eyelids? I’ve been on shift at The Werkwell Gallery this evening to promote our latest show of young sensations The sirens Were Absent.

We had a great turn out to the preview as usual. It was kinda neat because it opened on the same weekend as the Flux Nova festival on Wishloft Common.

We’ve had a few dealers book in for viewings next week and have sold the majority of the installations to the exclusive Maxwood Estate.

It has become something of a mission for our gallery to aggressively pursue progressive contemporary art of the highest quality with a focus on that young emerging hipster chique.

We are based within the core of the Pointeso art scene.’

Marcia Greyloft. Curator for Werkwell Gallery.
