Title: Saving Grace

This piece has a symbolic personal connection to my daughter, as a baby she suffered from Febrile Seizures, a condition where children are plagued with high fevers. My piece is a response to the time I thought she was going to die and how life’s struggles affect human existence in general. Protecting my daughter from such ailments (the poisons of life) and the reference of medical syringes are the remedies that make us better or worse. The burnt nest portrays a sense of the temperatures my daughter would reach when suffering a seizure and the battle to keep her well.
