I am not going to lie; it has been a turbulent year for me so far. I am so passionate about my art, and being an artist is all I can imagine myself doing in life, and yet, for all the hard work I put into my degree, I almost missed my chance.

As I approached the final few months of my degree, problems in my personal life overtook my studies, and my world was torn apart. I could no longer bring myself to work, and I only managed to make it to my final degree show because of the work I had previously made.

However, I am now in a much better place, and I am very happy to say that I am getting back to work. I have moved back to my home city of Sheffield and have decided to adopt a professional name, which means that I am now working as Sharon Mossbeck. I hope to use this blog as a kind of journal to keep up to date with new projects, as well as using Artists Talking to see what other artists are working on.

I am currently working on a couple of projects. The first is a pair of self portraits reflecting my circumstances during this year. They are still at sketch book stages, but I hope to begin work on canvas soon. The second is a cross-stitch project, which I hope to make available to the public, so that they can send their own contributions towards an exhibition.
