The Sporting League: Game 10 Results.

Kite Vale cemented their top four claims with a coming of age win over leaders Athletico.

Vale gaffer: ‘We had some anxious moments out there but we held on well for the win. To be honest, the result was a bit flattering to us but I’ll take that one every day of the week.’

Sporting Radio Pundit X: ‘That was a fantastic result for the flyers. I don’t think to Athleticans were helped with the injuries and their number one player missing in action throughout but credit to Vale…they’ve every reason to kick on now for the top four at the business end of the season.’

Universo Collunteen narrowed the gaps as they were in cruise control over flat-lining Drakens.

Pointeso moved back into the fray with a solid two goals to nil win over fallen angels Tranquilayers.

The Sporting League: Game 9 Results.

Athletico pulled away at the summit creating a five point gap with an assured three goals to win over poor relations Chamber Athlete.

Newly promoted underdogs Kite Vale continued to show the big guns what can be done on a budget as they eased into second place after an away win over strugglers Lunderbach.

Universo Collunteen lost a bit of ground as they were held by sleeping giants Bayerns.

Pointeso have had a slow start to the season but are still up there after a nervy two goals to one win at home over Drakens.

Pointeso’s Sporting share average dropped 3.1 percent to a two week low on Wednesday as declines in emerging market currencies spooked investors and the previous day’s weak Novian survey continued to hurt sentiment. The Pointesian ended 309.33 points lower to 3.0012.3, the lowest closing level since November 24th. It was the biggest one-day fall since Jan. 14. The tetrel dropped 9.1 percent this week, its second straight weekly decline.

The Sporting League: Game 8 Results.

Athletico got their eighth win in a row courtesy to some poor defending by the Zindustrious back four.

Athletico boss: ‘We’re an evolving project. It’s great to see some players that struggled for form last season come into their own this time around. Credit to Zindustrious though because they were pretty much equal to us bar those defensive errors.’

Newly promoted Kite Vale used a ‘get out of jail card’ at home to a Tranquilayers side to secure a one – one draw.

Sporting Radio Pundit X: ‘I’m finding it difficult to pin-point what is going wrong for the 2011 champions Tranquilayers. They look nervous every time they get hold of the ball. It’s gonna be a long hard season for them this term.’

Universo kept up the pressure at the top with a comfortable away day win at Yop Lane.

Delta continued their worst ever start to a season with a home defeat against fellow strugglers Metronova.

On the topic of Metronova…their current head of state Zac Peirerson has been in the news with fresh allegations of corruption levelled at him for the third time this year. More revelations are due to emerge, which could compel him to retire or take ‘time-out.’

Peirerson was asked a question by Sporting Radio Pundit X at the end of his teams win over Delta which resulted in a torrent of abuse aimed at radio’s no.1 reporter.
