Nine members of the Network met at The Maltings, in Berwick to discuss opportunities for participation in TMG projects and to pool ideas for two training events, which have been funded by AN.

We plan for these to take place in late April/early May and July 2008.

Consensus was for the sessions to take place during weekday mornings, and to be of approximately 2 hours duration.

Favourite topics were:

a) Working with people with disabilities and managing disruptive behaviour (there is a group in Glasgow offering excellent training, who would come to us)
b)How to effectively network and market your skills.

We also drew up a list of topics that could be offered by in-house skills sharing, including: short cuts to funding, Photography and IT packages, gaining access to schools, mural design, using icebreakers with groups and costume design.

One of the things we hope to do as TMG Artist Network is to provide Training and Professional Development for members.

With this in mind we applied to a-n for a grant from the 'nan' fund to facilitate some training events.

We were granted enough to fund two training events, and Network members are meeting at 10.00 at the Maltings (in the bar) in Berwick on Wednesday 19th March to discuss the content of those events.

All members and those interested in joining will be welcome.
