Architectural Fictions brings together the work of seven artists who take a range of approaches to the perception of architectural space through film, photography, painting and installation. Bernice Donszelmann, Fiona Crisp, Andreas Koch, Uta Kögelsberger, Mary Maclean, Tim Renshaw and Abigail Reynolds draw on the interplay between the representational and the non-representational and examine the narrative structures suggested by the ambiguities embedded in the built environment, proposing that architectural space offers pints of fracture between a projected vision of articulated design and the uses and redundancies inherent in the processes of habitation. This exhibition is curated by Mary Maclean, The University of Reading. Curator’s talk in the Bracknell Gallery on Saturday 10 July, 1pm, £5 which includes entry to the Big Day Out.
