Louis Tuckman

I’m a freelance graphic designer working with agencies and directly with clients. I use a friendly, imaginative and precise approach, mainly but not specifically working on visual identities, logo design, print layout, illustration and event promotion.
It is important to me that the people, organisations and businesses I work with share my aim of promoting the collective wellbeing of the communities and environment around us. My clients have ranged from hospitals, schools, bakeries, theatres, community spaces, events and book publishers as well as many other fields.

Paul Digby

Transcending the figure (2016-2019) was a project led by Paul Digby from between 2016 and 2019. During this period Paul worked with the emergency services drawing and sculpting them in classical poses. The project involved a series of collaborations with different community groups including schools, universities, galleries and museums. Part of the original concept and intention was to celebrate the front line of the public sector.

As well as the sculptures and drawings Paul delivered a series of workshops to Shakespeare Primary school and the COOP Academy secondary school in Leeds, as well as Lionwood Infants school in Norwich. The children created a small clay figurative sculpture each.

All the work including the 700 figures made in schools were displayed in Norwich, Sheffield, Manchester, York and North Lincolnshire. There were a series of lectures in Leeds, York, Norwich, Manchester, North Lincolnshire and other places throughout the UK.

There was an art and education seminar held in Leeds Beckett University in 2018 with another event in 2019.

In addition to this Paul is also presenting a new public sculpture of a nurse who started working on a critical care ward in January 2020 and who spent the year working with covid patients. Her matron says she was always found at the bed side of her patients comforting them.
