Accompanying the presentation of the “Sediment and Sentiment” collection of poems by James Oates in the Lamplight bar area, these are mixed media art works which explore the cliffs between Sunderland and South Shields. ….”This project comes to you as a poetic overview of Marsden Bay from the sea to Lizard Lane. My starting point (inspiration) being the pictures of Barrie West. I have chosen many forms of poetry to represent the diversity within such a small space of coastline and have tried to encompass the historical industry as well as the natural beauty we now see.”
