Beauty and the Beach: Landlocked in the Heart of England brings an alternative sea-side experience to Meriden, Coventry, traditionally known as the centre of England and one of the most landlocked places in the country. Local artist Lorsen Camps will be displaying found objects from the beach (and photographs of) in the Coventry Centre for Contemporary Art. This is his third exhibition in the mini galllery space that came out of the Bob and Roberta Smith project at the Mead Gallery in 2009. The show continues Lorsen’s exploration of beauty found in things that others have overlooked or discarded. Visitors are invited to come and take part in the exhibition by donating their own interesting and beautiful items from beach trips (whether objects or photos) which can be added to the installation. The CCCA is situated in the car park of The Bull’s Head, Meriden. Admission is free.
