A culmination of her ‘Guardian Angel’ postcard series created for the Interface arts Covid 19 Initiative, whereby artists kept in touch during the recent lockdown, this poster by Carolyn Corfield  features in the Street Gallery Walk event held in Dawdon until 16th August. As a mixed media sculptor, whose work often holds a narrative, such manipulation of her sculptural images is a new departure within her work. The Anthropause refers to the recent global-scale, temporary slowdown in human activity likely to have a profound influence on other species. A term derived from the Anthropocene Epoch which identifies the period in Earth’s history when human activity started to have a significant impact on the planet’s climate and ecosystems.
