TH’ MOLE

Th’ Mole, AKA Whatever Your Heart Desires, DJ 0.000001, Jonah Brown, is a lyricist, composer, vocalist, electronic music performance artist and purveyor of the collected works entitled Motion Recordings. Having produced public works reaching as far back as the late 1990’s, a vast catalog of solo works has been amassed as well as numerous collaborative projects including The Rammellzee, David Liebe Hart, Kool Keith, and Myka 9.

“In 2006/7 I had the great fortune to make some music with the incomparable, criminally underrated, madman genius, futurist, modern-day renaissance man, graffiti artist, sculptor, linguist, mathematician, philosopher, rapper, etc. The Rammellzee. I messaged him online and he apparently saw some similarities between us; we both had countless alter-egos for our various artistic/musical styles, we both performed in psychedelic/futuristic-looking costumes, and we both had a taste for the new/unexplored/weird, specifically in the vein of hip hop. He wanted to make something fusing death metal and hip hop. He’d approve my beats and then send me vocals that he recorded on a mini tape recorder in his bathroom while listening to death metal on headphones. He told me to double the speed on his vocals, and sometimes on my beats too. Before he exited our plane we finished 7 full-length songs. I later completed a shorter song and some interludes for what became the album Cosmic Flush, which is finally being released in full on Hecticrecs this year. There will be tapes available on the night. The Cult of Rammellzee asked me to do a live performance of Cosmic Flush. It will include live remixes of songs from the album and other Rammellzee releases.”

INITIATION RITUAL BY THE CULT OF RAMMELLZEE
