Dartmoor artists present their second summer school – an inspiring eight-day programme including: stone carving, poetry, digital photography and documentary film making. Sculptors Peter Randall-Page, Robin Duttson, Jackie Abey and Jill Smallcombe have prepared an eight-day summer school to offer emerging artists an opportunity to be inspired by and learn from established artists of international repute. Eight courses will be taught by experts in a variety of media. Tutors include sculptor Peter Randall-Page, photographer Chris Chapman and Britain's foremost Ecopoet, John Burnside. Courses range from one to eight days and start from £75.00. Students are encouraged to stay locally in order to experience evening events such as artists’ talks by Conrad Shawcross and live music with Tragic Roundabout. To book potential participants need to go to www.dartmoorarts.com and fill in a downloadable form. Peter Randall-Page remarks: ‘We felt there was a fantastic opportunity to tap into the expertise of the many artists who have chosen to settle in this part of the world. Bringing this group together as tutors will inspire a whole new generation of successful artists.’ Contact: Jackie Abey on 01647 281282 [email protected]
