JOHN WELDING works with illustration and comic strips to create autobiographical diaries. He has been commissioned by Wakefield Art Gallery to create large scale drawings from his sketchbooks featuring his observations and experiences between the art gallery at Wentworth Terrace and the new purpose built Hepworth at the waterfront development in Wakefield. Wakefield Art Gallery has approximately 46m of wall display space and it is John’s ambition to cover this with continuous rolls of paper containing his drawings.
