Dust Rising

‘DUST Rising’ sees artists associated with the city show new artwork in response to the heritage and happenings referencing either history or contemporary use of featured buildings. The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, The Town Hall, Bethesda Chapel as well as AirSpace Gallery and EN Gallery feature in a ‘Dust Trail’ guiding the public from one venue to the other. The project is supported by Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Hanley City Centre Partnership and various cafes and bars including The Quarter, RAWR, Bottlecraft, and, the newest of the local brewers, Mart’s Brewery and Tap. The 6-week-long series of exhibitions will be accompanied by special events such as artists’ talks, spoken word poetry, and on 6th October a public debateCan public art help regenerate a city and create a new impression of Stoke-on-Trent?’ will be held at Hanley Town Hall Court Room!
