Eternal Metamorphosis, at the Dissenters' Gallery brings to London new work by artists AlexisRago and Janet Waring. The show offers an oasis midst the hustle and bustle of the city. It reveals connectionsbetween less obvious aspects of the gallery’s unusual setting and the artists' ideas. These are expressedthrough a series of large-scale landscape pinhole photographs that extend the medium's possibilities, extremely delicate and intricate small scale sculptures in clay reminiscent of some fantastic fossil findand glowing paintings that draw you into a world of imaginative creatures in various stages of abstractionand metamorphosis.A calendar of events will accompany the show:Two evening concerts featuring brilliant young violinists Marko Pop Ristov and Florian Rago joined by pianist Suzanne Szczetnikowicz; two talks by Deborah Ravetz and Alexis Rago about the exchange between the self, artistic expression and society; workshops in creative pinhole photography and large scale painting reminiscent of prehistoric cave drawings, resulting work to be exhibited at the eternalmetamorphosis.org online gallery especially designed forthese events. The project is being supported by The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the Friends of Kensal Green Cemetery.further information: eternalmetamorphosis.org
