The Royal Aircraft Establishment was once a top-secret military complex and one of the most important aeronautical research centres in the world. Presented here are objects, text and photographs from its extensive archive, intertwined with a subjective history of modern art comparing and contrasting the two different cultures at key points in the 20th century. Simon Hollington and Kypros Kyprianous decade long collaborative arts practice incorporates contextual and material frameworks embracing cultural scientific and political concerns. This project results from a SCAN/distributed south residency at Farnborough Air Sciences Trust.
