Philippe Bazin will talk about his work at Dover port as part of his residency with DAD and relate it to the work he has done at ports in other parts of the world. Philippe Bazin lives in Paris and teaches photography and visual arts at L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Valenciennes. He is also a professional associate at l’Université de Valenciennes, Institut des Sciences et Techniques, Audiovisual department. His work is represented by Galerie Anne Barrault, Paris and he exhibits widely in solo and group exhibitions internationally. DAD Photography Commissions 07-08 invites artists to spend two weeks in Dover to research and produce a single large-format photographic image informed by the town. DAD Photography Commissions 07-08 is part of Embarkation, Dover Arts Development's major programme of visual arts for Dover Town and District. It is funded by Arts Council England, South East and the European Union with support from Dover businesses and public agencies.
