Landscape Painters Anonymous is a roving watercolour workshop, led by artist Simon Bayliss, exploring the leisurely pursuit of observational landscape painting.  Previously workshops have been hosted by Groundwork Cornwall, Plymouth Art Weekender and Turner Contemporary Margate. Painting or drawing experience is not necessary to take part.

Landscape Painters Anonymous Online is part of More Than Ponies Summer 2020 programme TeleVistas – an online broadcast project that explores how we look at the landscape during the pandemic, inspired by New Forest based William Gilpin, the great writer of the picturesque movement of the 18th century.

The workshop will be delivered via online platforms using the Tele Vistas broadcast of New Forest landscapes as our views. A playlist and family worksheet will also accompany the event.

  • You will need watercolours and paper. We recommend THESE PAINTS and THIS PAPER, A5 will suffice.

  • FREE all welcome, though please register here: https://www.morethanponies.info/events/pa to recieve access information.
