Latin American Myth Deconstruction
The collective Latinos Creative Society will gather to reframe Latin American identity in London through an exhibition about gender identity, new technologies, lost identity, consumerism, shamanism, and urbanism, among others.
The event will be open to the public, free of charge, from 15 th till 18 th of june 2018 at Crypt Gallery, Euston Road, King’s Kross in London. (NW1 2BA)
They will participate around 35 artist and designers. Most of them are Latin Americans, but they are also others from diverse nationalities that have great
admiration for Latin America. The Chilean artist Tere Chad, has curated the show. It will also include the participation of special invited artists as: César Baracca, Roberta Bacic, and Sofía Donovan.
The Extra Postgraduate Community Enhanced Project Fund, University of the Arts London, funds the event. Showing their support to Latin America as a
resilient community in the UK.
The calendar of the activities of “The Deconstruction of the Latin American Myth” will be:
15 th of June: Launch Event from 6 PM to 9 PM
16 th & 17 th June: Open free to the public 10am – 6pm
16 th of June: How to Construct / Deconstruct an arpillera doll workshop from 12 PM to 2 PM
17 th of June: Curator Tere Chad guided visit 12 PM to 2 PM
18 th of June: Open free to the public 10 – 5pm
