Contemporary painter Lisa V Robinson is currently exhibiting 9 paintings at Harry’s Bar in Wakefield. The exhibition will run until 19th May 2015. All work is for sale.

This small but busy characterful bar has a range guest ales which change on a regular basis.
Harry’s can be tricky to find, just look out for Prego’s Pizzeria close by. The bar is located at the end of row of cottage like buildings.
About the Artist:
Lisa V Robinson’s colourful paintings are an exploration of the fine line between abstraction and figuration. Her current series of works aim to push the boundaries of painting beyond two dimensions, by creating a fictional space within the canvas. She looks to the immediate environment for possible space arrangements and mark making, for example; architecture, room interiors and graffiti. These visual ideas are deconstructed, and recreated into abstracted components on the canvas.
Lisa V Robinson is currently based in Studio A7, Westgate Studios, Wakefield. She studied BA Fine Art Painting at Manchester School of Art, graduating with First-Class Honours in 2008. Since graduating from university, Lisa has proceeded to win the Joan Day Painting Bursary and was shortlisted for the New Lights Art Prize.
