Lynsey Storer is an Optical painter who has been working with space, colour and shape as primary concerns for over 10 years. This is the first time her work, which is held in private collections, has been exhibited together and where the artist has also been curator. Storer’s work begins with colour and gradually moves into a monochromatic palette of Payne’s grey and white with the addition of orange to complement the colour. The interplay of colour and shapes, which float; pushing and pulling against one another affect the eyes creating different illusions. Storer’s work is skilfully created and very interesting to view this is an exhibition that cannot be missed!
