Macmillan Cancer Support is a ‘mark making’ charity in the services they provide to people with cancer. 2015 sees Macmillan partner with local art agency SMART to bring the Macmillan Art Show ‘Mark Making’ to the Granite City. Macmillan Art Shows currently take place in Glasgow and Edinburgh and it is hoped that this inaugural event will be welcomed with open arms from artists and art lovers across the north east of Scotland.

This year’s exhibition is made up of artworks selected from our open call, invited artists, the peacock print shop and a silent auction. This unique mix of art offers something for every taste and budget, with artworks ranging from £40 – £5,000. The exhibition also provides support, not only for the local creative sector, but more importantly, to the hugely worthwhile work that Macmillan provide across the area.

This will be the first event Macmillan has done in the city for over 5 years, the art show is very important and will provide much needed funds to help the charity provide care and support to people affected by cancer from the point of diagnosis. Macmillan are working hard to ensure that the 4855 people who receive a cancer diagnosis every year in the Grampian region do not feel alone.

All artwork will be for sale and there will be a silent auction running throughout the show.

Exhibition runs from 9 – 30 May 2015

Open: Thu-Sun 12noon – 4pm
