Under the influence is a new work dedicated to the South Wales coal miners jazz bands of the Aberdare region. Megan Broadmeadow has researched and responded to their act of parading through their hometown during the 1926 General Strike, playing kazoos and bringing a spectacle of extravagant fantasy to the streets.
