The show is open to all possibilities of real and virtual presence, in Plas Bodfa, Wales and throughout the world.
The world has suddenly changed – how we react and interact with one another. We’re facing a global pandemic that will cause us all to face losses. People are being asked to ‘self-isolate’ for an unspecified period of time, with an unknown impact on personal wellbeing. Already people are feeling isolated and alone. For these reasons we feel it is important to continue with our project, albeit with a different structure, creating a safe environment to create and engage with those around us.
Time has suddenly become more fluid; dates are less relevant, and we are left with gaps and holes in our future plans. What does this mean for us? Well, we’re no longer bound by the exhibition dates!
Unus Multorum is hereby a project of 2020.
We are living in the golden age of technological connectivity. This is an opportunity to reach new audiences – keeping creativity, connectivity, hope and creative thinking integrated as part of the conversation in these uncertain times.
The exhibition will now unfold over the course of the rest of the year, inside Plas Bodfa and in the digital realm.

We will also be launching our newest project ‘Plas Bodfa Objects’ with over 50 sets of unique artist multiples. Offered at affordable prices and created for a wide audience, these limited-edition creations celebrate uniformity and easy dissemination.
The theme is ‘Unus Multorum’ a Latin phrase meaning ‘one of many’. It was used in Roman times as a neutral pseudonym when publishing texts anonymously.
In a world 7.7 billion strong, there is certainly power in a multitude, strength in numbers. We form groups and societies, creating our identity through nation building, tribal structures, brand loyalty, subcultures and sports teams. We find pleasure in repetitive patterns, comfort in group ritual. Collective action requires us to focus on the things we have in common, rather than our individuality.
