In March 2014, Science Fiction: Myths of the Present Future will consider how our relationship with technology has blurred the lines between the real and the virtual; making our everyday lives feel increasingly like science fiction.

We are looking for the best home made Science Fiction films to include alongside a series of new commissions and presentations from leading artists such as Ryan Trecartin, Mark Leckey, Jon Rafman, Sascha Pohflepp, Larissa Sansour and James Bridle.

The selected films with be featured in the exhibition at FACT for 12 weeks and will be seen by thousands of our visitors! No efforts are too low budget or otherworldly. Any and all home made Science Fiction films will be considered and there are no age, or location restrictions. Absolutely anyone can enter!

We want to see personal, imaginative and interesting responses to the incredibly broad topic of Science Fiction. Whether it’s a 30 second short, or a 30 minute drama our judging panel want to be amazed, entertained, amused, scared, surprised, astounded and astonished!
