You’re invited to our exhibition closing event as our most recent exhibition comes to an end.

When I Grow Up I Want to Be a Ship is an exhibition by award winning composer Emily Peasgood which explores Southampton’s complex and enduring relationship with the sea. Having written and composed a song informed and inspired by local histories and local people, this is your final chance to immerse yourselves in the story of the Solent before the exhibition comes to a close.

You can also enjoy an evening of live music as some of Southampton’s most exciting emerging musicians perform their own musical interpretation of Emily’s song featured in the installation alongside one final performance from Emily.

Featuring live performances from: Coastel, Emily Peasgood, Sam Slattery, Will Hutchinson and more TBC.

The bar will be open throughout the evening serving drinks and refreshments and the galleries will be free to explore throughout the evening.

Friday 6th May 2022 6pm – 8pm at God’s House Tower.
