Art Licks has launched a fundraiser for its annual London festival, Arts Licks Weekend. The limited edition works, which are priced from £6-£500, each have a functional design and are made for the home.

Highlights include a bottle opener designed by sculptor James Capper, pillow cases featuring halos by performance artist Holly Slingsby, and a series of large vases by Miriam Austin. The works can be purchased online via the Art Licks website.

The full list of artists taking part is: Pio Abad, Catherine Aitken and David Murphy, Miriam Austin, James Capper, Patrick Coyle, Freddy Dewe Mathews, Andrea Francke, Marie Jacotey, Lucy Joyce and Holly Slingsby.

The work is also currently on show at a temporary space at Safehouse 1 in Peckham, south London.

Art Licks Weekend is a three-day event celebrating the contribution emerging artists and grassroots projects make to cultural life in London. It features artist-run projects, curatorial collectives and young galleries who open up their spaces for the public, with free events and exhibitions of young artists’ work.

Its third edition in 2015 saw 87 galleries and project spaces take part, exhibiting the work of 400 young artists. Over 12,249 visitors attended the event.

The A.L.T. pop-up shop is open daily 11am-7pm until 6 June 2016 at Safehouse 1, 139 Copeland Road, Peckham. Art Licks Weekend 2016 will run from 30 September – 2 October. www.artlicks.bigcartel.com
