Li-E Chen work-in-progress presentation
A public talk by artist and director Li-E Chen on the concepts behind her site-specific project n-1. Chen undertook a range of experiments during visits to 168 locations in Greater London that had been set out as squares using a Google map. These squares of space reference Ludwig Wittgenstein’s theories of logical structure and the limits of language, drawing on Eastern and Western philosophy to explore ideas of ‘nothingness’.
Saturday 8 August 2015, 1.30pm, Senate House, University of London, Malet Street, WC1.

Help the invisible man
Matias Serra Delmar‘s ongoing street art intervention explores absence, conjuring up imagery of death, illness, myth and mysticism as members of the public are invited to stumble across a tin pot, an outline of two feet and a cardboard sign inferring they leave coins for an unknown individual.
Until Monday 10 August 2015, on the streets of Besalú, Catalonia and worldwide.

Tipping Point
A solo exhibition from painter Bryan Lavelle that explores the processes and material properties of painting. Gravity is the underlying force in these often poly-chromatic works, whose abstract forms are derived from the uncontrollable characteristics of the paint’s movement down the canvas.
Until 28 August, The Crypt, Marylebone Road, London NW1.
