Liquid Assets: In the Aftermath of the Transformation of Capital, September 20–December 1, Graz, Austria
In the wake of the worldwide economic crisis, this exhibition squares up to the complex changes that have been brought on by the financial system and presents a group of international artists who are examining the political, social and ethical implications of capitalism. Curated by Luigi Fassi and Katerina Gregos, participating artists include Gustav Metzger, Eric Baudelaire, Zachary Formwalt and many others.

Interruption: The 30th Biennial of Graphic Arts Ljubljana, until 24 November, Ljubljana, Slovenia
Printmaking is the common denominator here, but with a focus on exploring the boundaries of traditional techniques and expanding on new approaches to the medium. Marking its sixtieth year, the Biennial’s origin and history will be explored in The Biennial of Graphic Arts – Serving You Since 1955, at Cankarjev dom Gallery. Regina José Galindo will be presented in The Anatomy Lesson at the Jakopič Gallery while the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova will host the works of Miklós Erdély: The Original and the Copy + Indigo Drawings.

As its title suggests, the point of departure for this Biennial is an exploration of the interaction of various climates, atmospheric, emotional and political, and the ways in which visual artists address unknown, unpredictable and seemingly uncontrollable phenomenon.

The pre-eminent art fair held at Navy Pier is back for another year to showcase 125 leading international galleries from 17 different countries and some 36 cities. A key component is IN/SITU, providing exhibitors with the means to display large-scale installations and performative pieces adding dynamism and connecting points of interest throughout the fair. Also offers a customary roster of events including collection tours, panel discussions and site-specific projects.

In response to the Hong Kong’s critical land shortage and increasing population, Para Site is staging The Floating Eternity Project, an offshore temporary platform that acts as a columbarium containing more than 350,000 urns. Comprising newly commissioned and existing architectural proposals, texts, videos and installations, the group exhibition features Adam Bobbette & Seth Denizen, BREAD Studio, Moosje M. Goosen, Grieve Perspective, Ho Sin Tung, The Estate of Charles LaBelle, Venus Lau, Maha Maamoun, Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook, and Hong-Kai Wang.
