Esteban Profile
Esteban Peña Parga (Bogotá, 1979) is an artist and graduate from the University of Los Andes. He holds an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. Since 2017 he has worked as a full-time professor at the University of Los Andes in the area of fine art in the Department of Art, where he teaches a range of 2D and 3D classes. He has also worked as a professor at the University of Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano and is a tutor on the Masters’ in Electronic, Plastic and Temporal Arts (MAPET) at the University of Los Andes. He has exhibited individually and in group exhibitions since 1998, both nationally and internationally. Peña’s artistic practice indicates with humor various cultural, social or national habits that may seem to be insignificant when we engage with them in daily life, but which, taken together, say a lot about society and culture.
