Harriet works with Rob Fraser in their collaborative practice, somewhere-nowhere. Their work explores the nature and culture of place in rural locations and enquires into the challenge of caring for and enhancing habitats and ecosystems. Long distance and slow walking is fundamental to their practice, along with conversations and formal interviews. Their photography, poetry, installation art and audio collections have been shared in exhibitions across the UK, and they run participatory events bringing together walking, landscape and debate. They practise independently and in collaboration. In 2021 the Frasers will be launching the PLACE Collective at the UK's Centre for National Parks and Protected Areas (Cumbria University), to bring together artists, ecologists, environmental researchers and land managers.
