Roger Gregory,sculptor
My sculptures are a result of extensive research and practical experience gained from performing human cadaver dissections. In so doing I have concentrated this years work on the topography and function of the hind-brain, by studying the intimacy of anatomical structures and how they communicate with the self and with others has informed my practice with results being startling, unpredictable and intriguing. Through my technical and material investigations, I aim to produce new elements to the language of sculpture; a language that is colourful, robust and open to all who engage with my work. Public work I am open and approachable to all offers of producing public sculpture which may be public art projects, art workshops, residency or exhibition. Each display environment of my work requires bespoke elements, for example I source skilled and specialised fabricators and structural engineers for large scale steel works. This ensures the highest possible compliance with health and safety requirements and fulfilling commissioning guidelines. Derby|Tamworth|
