Finds that ‘the sector wants to see leadership that is facilitative, flat and diverse’ and generally more collaborative. Interestingly (given the rise in leadership courses) acknowledges that leadership development is most effectively delivered through a combination of formal training, learning from others and on-the-job experience, with practical application in the workplace playing the most significant role. Increasing leadership diversity and training for the 20-34 age group remain pressing issues.
