The seven artists of Telling Stories: Margate bring together nascent explorations into ideas of narrative and narrative structures within their work. They probe the place where fact meets fiction, where stories become lies, where the told becomes the suggested and untold. Their resulting visual dialogue speaks as much of the silence between image, artist and viewer as of the noise of interpretation.We hope they find answers to the questions they pose – but the response itself will always be enough.Alexander Brattell, Dawn Cole, Sineid Codd, Martin Everett, Cathryn Kemp, Louise Kenward & Lucinda Wells.
