a-n The Artists Information Company
a-n stimulates and supports contemporary visual arts practice and affirms artists’ value in society. With over 19,000 members, we focus on conversations around the critical and professional environment for the visual arts, bringing together artists, art students, producers, arts professionals, researchers, arts organisations and universities.
Within a-n’s Artist membership, AIR (Artists Interaction and Representation) identifies and explores issues that impact on artists’ practice. It campaigns for artistic, legislative and economic measures that enhance artists’ working lives and professional status, with AIR Council leading and advising on this work. Often developed through collaborations, our visual arts research informs and inspires cultural development. Our fast-paced, inquisitive a-n News exposes the breadth of contemporary visual arts.
As an organisation we stand by and demonstrate our beliefs – valuing artists in society, embracing experimentation, stimulated when change is generated through dialogue and interaction.
