'AIRTIME Nottingham'.
November 2009.

Since the beginning of 2009, AIR's been organising two events series for artists, enabling them to both explore their approaches and strategies for their practice and to access information and networking opportunities.

The summer gave Project Manager Ed Adam a chance to evaluate AIRTIME's impact, and to plan the autumn schedule through collaborations with local and regional organisations, and to seek partners and support for an enhanced 2010 programme. Significantly, 94% of participants would recommend the events to other artists.Read the results of the survey here.

Open dialogues are AIR-only facilitated discussion events, where artists can talk in confidence amongst each other about their practice and the issues they face. Attracting a wide range of practitioners and career stages, Open dialogues are held regionally and are free. Invitations automatically go out to members in the region where an event is planned.

AIRTIME_2010 events are open to all artists – and final year art students – and are free practical and inspirational events providing advice, networking and camaraderie. Over 300 artists and final-year art and design students have already participated in events in Plymouth, Sheffield, Manchester, London and Swansea. As one artist who attended April's Manchester event said: "Really enjoyed the afternoon – met some interesting people, learned lots and thoroughly enjoyed it – looking forward to more!"

So if you're a practising artist or final year art and design student seeking info on insurance, funding and professional development or want to develop your networks and collaborations, just keep an eye on this site so you can sign up for an AIRTIME near you.

Alongside the local and regional partnerships that enable these events to happen, we're pleased to have DACS (Design and Artists Copyright Society) as AIRTIME series partner.

Bookings: These are free events, but as places are limited booking is essential. Contact AIR@a-n.co.uk with AIRTIME_2010 and your preferred location in the title.
