# 2 [22 March 2012]

Today I have continued to lay the ground for the 3rd painting and I'm feeling pleased, with the way the colours are working. I want each painting to have a different palette.

Still some work to do on this one, the lane needs some attention, some problems to solve, but this is looking like the second painting for my show

I aim to have five paintings reflecting my subject matter in my final show at Coleg Sir Gar. I have two completed and have started on my third today. From group critiques and formative assesements I have come to the understanding that my composoitions are vital in empphasiseing my content. The idea of Journey in condensed landscapes such as woodlands and the paths we make as we explore our world something I want to push in my paintings. I want the viewer to delve into the paintings and feel the excitment in looking at them just as they would these spaces in the landscape.

I am a landscape painter, my painting focus on intimate spaces of the natural world. These spaces are full of colour and patterns and this is what i create in my work. I am interested in mark making and create a space within my canvases that contain a contrast of free and tight painting styles, to represent theses busy spaces.
