Lovely Weather (Weatherproof)

Antony Lyons, 'Lovely Weather (Weatherproof)', 2010.

This year-long project was co-sponsored by Donegal County Council and the Leonardo organisation. As one of five artist residencies, Antony Lyons’ enquiry was an exploration of local awareness and involvement with the realities of climate-change. Supported by the Regional Cultural Centre, Antony worked with members of the local community and with a school in the Finn Valley, devising permanent and temporary artworks.

The Audition Curtain and The Infinity Finder

Sonia Boyce, ‘The Audition Curtain and The Infinity Finder’, 1999.
In 1999,"she'd never quite understood what residencies do for agencies that organise them and the groups that are supposed to interact with them. What does proximity have to do with a relationship anyway?"
