Look; listen; draw; write; beach-comb; savour. Then sketches are reworked, notes augmented. Unconscious scribbles become doodles and imaginings acquire form. Beach debris has formed an unintended installation; gradually ideas evolve. Patient development alongside serendipity has been vital in the attempt to visualise both literal and abstract sensations in formal terms.
