Nikky Lyle is a Creative Recruiter and D&AD President Judge with 8+ year’s experience working with some of the top UK freelance talent and creative agencies in UK, US and Europe. As well experiencing setting up two successful businesses herself.
During these sessions Nikky will talk you through the entire process of setting yourself up as a freelancer.
The course will cover everything from choosing a company name, registering your company with companies house, the pros and cons of being a sole trader, using an umbrella company or registering yourself as a limited company.
You’ll also cover how to setup a business bank account, deciding if to use online software or an accountant and how to make sure you’re legally compliant.
The course will also touch on how you should market yourself, covering the best social media platforms to use for your business and the best way to create your website.
By the end of the course you’ll have all the knowledge you’ll need to set up with your back office infrastructure, all the way through to your online shop front, which you can use to start attracting customers.
You’ll be fully independent and ready to start your new venture and exciting adventure of being your own boss!
