Andi Chapple and Musicians Three Spring Performances #2: 'Witnessed From The Slope' The music is an innovative and entrancing blend of acoustic playing and singing (from folk to classical) and computer-generated and digitally-processed sound; the performances cross over into live art with their use of natural sound and the ‘deep listening’ exercises which I do with audiences as part of the experience. Sound sources and musicians will be distributed around the audience. I will be using recordings made in the park in various weather conditions; the shape of the performance will reflect the dedication in 1902 of the cross commemorating Queen Victoria. There will be shelter for the audience if the weather looks iffy, and there will be chairs. Wear midge repellent! information, sounds and directions from www.music.freakout.biz The performance is supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and by Sedbergh Parish Council.
