This is a great opportunity for artists and creatives to make new work in our studio and in the landscape around Field Art Space. The starting point for this small group art workshop is ancient pathways and hollow ways and you will be able to research in the landscape and create a piece of work or works which will be installed in the studio or outdoors for the duration of the workshop. Teaching is through a mixture of short drawing exercises, one to one tuition, group discussion and evaluation led by artist Kate Hammersley Founder of Field Art Space. There will be plenty of time for making you can explore drawing, painting, installation, found objects, sculpture, photography or performance and an individual style is encouraged. You will be able to create a project from initial research to realisation whilst exploring artistic processes and landscape.

Kate Hammersley MRSS is an interdisciplinary artist working on art and science projects supported by Arts Council England. She has taught art workshops at the Royal Society of Sculptors and the Ashmolean Museum. She has worked with scientists at the University of Oxford and has work in the University of Oxford collection.
