As Austerity bites and even Her Majesty scraps the annual Christmas party in a show of restraint, WW Gallery in Hackney is generously helping out your Christmas wallet and the NSPCC, by giving away free art. And yes, there is a catch. You need to buy one work in order to get one free. Prices range from £10 – £300 and proceeds go to the NSPCC, so that they can be there for more children this Christmas. Over 40 artists have generously donated their works. Many of them have won or been selected for major awards such as the Jerwood, Threadneedle, John Moores, BP and are in major collections such as Deutsche Bank, Saatchi and the V&A. Artworks will be exhibited anonymously, with each artist’s name only revealed at the point of sale. Images of all the works, from prints, drawings and delicate watercolours to large oil paintings, can be viewed online (www.wilsonwilliamsgallery.com/bogof.htm) 24 hours before the private view for those wishing to reserve work. Sales will begin at 6pm on Friday 10th December and online sales will open at 12 noon on Saturday 11th December. WW says “spread the love and humbug to austerity.” For more information please visit WW Gallery (www.wilsonwilliamsgallery.com/) or contact Chiara Williams & Debra Wilson [email protected] or 07531342128
